the most frightening day of my life
I have had the habit of shooting off my mouth randomly, often saying hurtful things about people. My parents, like so many times before, have warned me not to say bad things about people as words are creative. I did not recognize the true meaning of this, as I thought that I was having fun. Little did I know the important effect that this advice would have on me.
I was doing my homework on the typical hot and humid Sunday morning. It was Mathematics, and I was really bored. I decided to shoot off my tongue, making a snide comment at my sister, who had been complaining of a tummy ache the whole weekend. “Hey Tessa… your tummy hurts so much that you’re probably going to die in the next few days!” just at this moment, my parents waltzed into the room “ Timothy! How dare you say that about your younger sister! You should be ashamed of yourself! You should never curse your sister like that…”
I did not think much of it then, because I thought that my parents were just being strict as usual. However, Tessa’s stomach condition got worse.
